Finished the first three Potter books. Very good, very easy to get into; perfect for children and yet, sucks adults into the engrossing story just as easily. It was nice to see how the boooks were changed for the movies and how sometimes a lot of the story was left out, either it was extraneous or the plot points were very interconnected and ( Read more... ) -
Reading gives me a headache...
Actually, it doesn't. I just have a headache. I think it's from staring at this new monitor a lot while I'm writing (it's so damn crisp and clear), and catching up on some movies and other DVDs. I received an Amazon parcel in the mail today which contained books 1-6 of the Harry Potter Saga (plus a kick-ass Akira art book and the POTC Complete ( Read more... ) -
Holiday Update
Merry Christmas everyone. I had a great time as always. My sister and her husband flew in to spend the week and they’ve just left; on their way to Calgary and then on to Toronto. Seven months, really?
Wow, here's to life getting in the way. I guess I was also a little burned out. There were other things I wanted to do with my free time that didn't necessarily involve sitting in front of a blank computer screen, and of course, writer's block had a tendency to intrude here and there. New story up.
I think...I'm getting closer to the end of my series as it stands. I hope to finish off this season and tie up most of, if not all, the loose ends. Then maybe write (or dabble) in this or other universes with absolutely no constraints (even if I gave those constraints to myself). Either fanfiction or something original. A full 24 hours early.
I love being a Canadian. We get uncensored, uncut shows and movies on network television and best of all, shows a day early on certain Canadian affiliates...like Heroes. -

Oh, and Mulligatawny soup? Sweet. At least the version from the Company's Coming cookbooks. I decided to be a little domestic and make my own soup. Stuff tastes great and is pretty easy to make. Filling *urp* too. -
