How do you think Asia feels about all of this?

It occurs to me, too, that the JT LeRoy hoax means it will probably be more difficult in the future for other writers to get published in that genre... especially young ones who claim to be (and in my case, actually are) survivors of childhood poverty and abuse. My novel has just been thoroughly invalidated. It's not fair. :-(

If it is finally proven, absolutely, that JT is not real, I will hesitate to ever trust someone like that (meaning someone I don't "technically" know - a writer or other artist) in that way again.
