I am not entirely sure where Eli went and that's the beauty of it, I think!
Gracie is a character I've been playing with for something longer. In my longer story, she gets her brother back, but it's not what she was planning for.
And I don't know. There might be some secret inter-closet vampire haunting network!
I had a whole menagerie of imaginary creatures that lived in my room, almost all of which were benign. But what I also had was an enormous tree right outside my window with a face on it, if you looked at it just right in the moonlight.
One day, lightning struck the tree down and it exploded with such force that it sent a huge piece of bark through my bedroom window. I was napping in the living room at the time.
I had a secret door under my bed that took you to Toyland where all the toys were real. My little brother used to beg me to take him with me but I used to alternate which one of the Thundercats had a broken arm and couldn't take visitors.
I was always mostly afraid that the little magnetic dolls at the foot of my bed would crawl over my covers and attack my feet in the night, but I definitely understand where she's coming from.
I had a whole bunch of porcelain dolls, but only two of them were evil and out to get me-- Angela, who had been my mother's doll and was missing a leg, and Violet, who was just fucking evil. I had another doll named Amy who protected me from both of them, though.

Will Gracie make it back with her real brother?
Did your vampires haunt anyone else?
I love that this feels perfectly complete and yet leaves me with so many questions.
