It was an interesting journey (plane broke twice, and weather was conspiring against us too), with plenty of free food, and the Qantas bods were all really lovely. We didn't get much sleep - somewhere around 3 hours since Sunday night I reckon, so I'm not making a lot of sense today seeing as we're in the middle of Wednesday now! I quit my job yesterday afternoon, which was one of the more nerve wracking things I've done recently! On my way back to work at lunchtime I rang my sister, hoping for moral support to steel myself ready to quit. It was all going fine 'til I suddenly got a rush of "Oh my God! we celebrated christmas one a little early with the Phillipses
we've been to Norway for christmas two, and had our fill of huge dinners and flocks of family

Someone has offered us a big bunch of money for our house, so we may well be moving pretty soon. Exciting!

We went round a couple of houses today, the second one we saw felt really sad and lonely. I think it must have been a little old lady's house, because the decor was interesting in the extreme. A wide range of carpet colours, encompassing black with large bright blue and purple flowers, maroon, brown and blue. She also had some splendid wallpaper ( Read more... )

Finally I've run out of holidays :o( After 4 weeks of swanning around without a care in the world, I'm about to dip my toe back into reality. I suspect it'll be cold and uninviting, but hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.
