My mom used to do the same thing. One night she didn't give me a curfew and my father was like meh be home in time to take me to the airport (6:30am). So I go and hang out and play pool with my friend Keith and like 5 kids I've known since we were 3. I totally meant to go home at like 1 or 2 well long story short I passed out under the pool table (we were playing flashlight tag in the house for no apparent reason)and when the sun came up I freaked out. I figured I would be okay cause they hadn't given me a curfew. Well I show up at my front door at like 5 am and my mom is hysterically yelling at the police officer standing in the living room about how I'm missing. I show up and my dad goes "you were worrying your mother." I was gone for like 7 hours. Do you eat lots of fruits and vegetables and the like? And don't overeat? And get lots of exercise? Those things are supposed to help with heartburn, I think.

When I was a Frosh in college, I used to get to bed at like 2am every night, but that was in the Dorms at BYU, and it was a pretty average bedtime.

I can totally sympathize with you. I'd be going insane if my parents did that to me. 5pm? That's unreasonable for a High Schooler, IMO, let alone a 19-year old. Sure, if you're living with them, a curfew is understandable, but it should be a reasonable curfew (like before they go to bed at like 10 or 11 or whatever), not something rediculous like 5pm.

I had a lot of these types of issues with my own parents. I knew I could handle alot more responsibility than they thought I could. I mean, they've learned since, but when I was 18…
