It's difficult to get into the "holiday spirit" when you're lying on the beach. There are little kids running around in santa outfits and plastic christmas trees at many stores and restaurants, but seeing a sign that says "merry christmas" doesn't really bring on that december feeling. I'm in Phenom Penh right now, which is a seriously interesting city, i just met three guys from california here working with drug users, teaching them how to use drugs intelligently and teaching them other life skills. Last nights are always sad. Oh my god it's halloween tonight. I completely forgot. No one else knows that it is, and you can't tell unless you look at the calender and write "halloween" in october 31st, people in australia don't really think about it.
