Dec 06, 2007 14:53

This ought to bring back some memories...an IC account of a battle fought by the Garou in Seattle on August 12, 2000. Somebody preserved it on the web.

It's really to bad the new chronicle hasn't lent it self to these type of stories. It could, with the proper leadership, but it just hasn't ever reached that level.

I don't think the game setting provides for it, in all honesty. I took a swing at it, and I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm. Frankly, the setting is *bland*.

I'm not entirely convinced it can't happen. I think your right, however, that the setting isn't geared towards it the way Garou was. It takes more work on the ST side of the house, and the player side of the house. It is not necessarily a "natural" outcome of the game. The way it was in Garou.

Oh, this is the kind of stuff I miss. High drama, high theater... costumes and being more than freaks that hang out and occasionally beat each other up. (IC, that is... being freaks that hang out and occasionally beat each other OOC is just fine...)

*sigh*

*wistful sigh*

That was a great day. Excellent RP, loved getting to be on both sides of the story as a PC and playing NPCs for you. You always did weave wonderful stories for us...

*a strong, deep, kind of ethereal voice rings from everywhere and nowhere*

"Jump. Jump now!"

I believe this tops off at #1 in my Best Roleplaying Experience Ever list. #2 being a one-time evening cameo I did at a Longest Night Ball.

I still tell people about this story anytime people ask me about how I liked playing in the Cam. A shining beacon in the history of the Cam in Seattle.
