This may seem like a strange question, but did someone by any chance drop an unmarked box of unlabeled gifts outside our apartment recently?

Kael is nursing, and 2gouda4u and I are discussing what to do. I say "Well, we could watch Red Dwarf, we could watch Lost...". Before I can continue, Kael pulls off and makes a loud noise of disgruntlement. 2gouda4u says "What was that, Kael? Which one are you voting for?" Kael thinks for a moment, points directly at her nipple, and says, emphatically, "Dat."

I have long felt that "he" should not be used as a gender-neutral pronoun, because it perpetuates the sexist attitude that maleness is the default. Thanks to Language Log, I've also known for a while that "they" is a perfectly acceptable alternative in most cases.
