Article ideas wanted

I've not updated my chef blog in a year. I desperately need to write new articles, but want some inspiration.

Can you folks give me some cookery-related article ideas? I don't want to keep on writing recipes; that gets boring. If there's something (preferably related to oriental cooking) that you'd like to learn, some technique you want more ( Read more... )

How about some quick fixes? Something that you can cook in 10-15 mins and I might add, on a student budget :)

Why not unveil the myth of the ajinomoto? I see tv chefs in India (and I use the term chef losely in this context) liberally sprinkling this magic condiment all over a south Indian beans curry!

I am guessing it is judiciously used in Chinese cooking and mostly absent in Thai cuisine.

I am sick and tired of the myth of Ajinomoto. It's a bloody salt. And it's in Soy Sauce anyway. As in sea-weed. And it's used most liberally in China and India. In India, most self-respecting cooks call it "Tasting Powder". It's safe. Get over it.
