Nothing says Christmas like making your mom's christmas cookies for the first time all on your own and calling her at least three times (so far!) to ask questions :) The house is starting to smell of cinnamon and allspice :)

So the starter in my car has been failing for a few weeks. Thursday morning I go get in my car to go to work, turn it on and the ignition goes right away. I think, 'great!' and drive out... but the car is making this weird noise, sortof like the ignition is still turning over and over. Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" comes on the radio and you start singing along with the words from Lord of the Rhymes "Black Riders on Call". INCLUDING the One Ring to Rule them ALL spoken word segments :D

The smell of fresh roma tomatoes and basil from the garden, simmering with onion and garlic and a splash of wine, is heaven on earth.
