Good things this past week:
1. Spent my first full week at work on the historical exhibit project, which finally got budgetary approval. It's great to sink my teeth into a new history project: reviewing the research I did last summer, making lists of possible thematic emphases, what should go on the historical timeline, which people & legal cases ( Read more... )

I got home at 7:15 this morning after taking the red-eye from San Francisco, showered off all the airplane cooties, and tumbled into bed for a few hours sleep. I love sleeping in my own bed again, but I would totally give it up for a few more days away. Azkatraz was amazingly, terrifically, wonderfully wonderful! I can't even begin to post a recap right now - there's so much to recount.

I'm mostly packed. My camera batteries and cell phone are charging. I have an inexpensive wrap I bought over the weekend to keep myself warm on the plane. I have some really good yogurt and a packet of my cousin's homemade granola to eat for breakfast. The plane, the hotel, and the registration are all paid for. Two of our interns finished up today, and they gave my co-worker, and our boss, and I gifts: Jelly Belly jellybeans and a gift card for Starbucks. Wow! I'm munching on the beans as I finish up processing for the day and contemplating what caffeinated treats to get. It was unnecessary for them to have done this, but so very lovely.
