The City of Philadelphia has decided it cannot rent the Boy Scouts HQto them for $1 a year anymore because the organization discriminates against gays. As of 2008, their rent will be raised to $200,000 per year.

Has anybody else seen Order of the Phoenix yet? I didn't go to the midnight showing because my dad's cousin's kids wanted to see it with me, so I went at 9 AM the day it came out. Here's what I thought:

Well... Yesterday I found out Quidditch is dying. (My dog, not the sport.) Kidney failure, apparently. Dude, she's only seven. :( She'd been getting "skinny" (actually, she was getting closer to a healthy size, just not for a healthy reason) so Daddy was feeding her bologna to fatten her up and she just kept throwing it up and getting thinner ( Read more... )
