A non-communicative hermit. That's what I've become. I almost never call anyone anymore. Not that I ever was a big reacher outer in that sense, but I'm glad I have lots of friends that don't seem to hold that against me. There's some people that no matter what the span of time between your last communications you just pick right back up with. Those ( Read more... )

Heya, its Michelle here, I'm a nobody from Sydney, Australia. Stumbled on your site through 'mightypen's' LJ which I saw through 'j_licks' LJ and so on. Forgive my intrusion into your world but just thought I'd say that the artwork you've shown here are brilliant. I'd buy the last one (when I can afford it. hehe) so keeping a mental note.

Funny too when people say stuff like 'Do you think I'm stupid?'; 'Do you think I'm fat?"; 'Is this dress two sizes too small?'. I mean, that's just asking for it.

And yeah, 'fantasy retorts' are the best. It's just a shame you can never say them in real life (which is probably why 'fantasy scenes' in US shows like the now defunked Ally McBeal were a hit among viewers).

Money will always be an issue except for those who got it. But I think a life spent doing what you love is infinitely more fulfilling that one where you earn millions of dollars doing what you don't like.

okay, cheerios,

m

Thanks Michelle, I appreciate the compliments on my artwork. It really helps to keep me going forward with it. Sometimes I get panicky about it and just want to quit, especially during the low funds times, but I agree, the tradeoff is well worth it. Nice to "meet" you!

As we say here in Oz, 'No worries!'

Every time the doubts creep in, just remember that you're given your talent for a reason. Use it or lose it. hehehe.

till next tym,

Yes, YES! I just couldn't possibly keep the madness to myself any longer! But, I don't want to injure your heart. I'm sorry. For your heart's sake I'll try to keep the postings shorter and more frequent.
Love to you too, Ms. Molassesque!

Thank you, thank you! Yes, I'm in need of a massage, definitely. I will add that to my wish list.

Hey, I'm super sorry to hear about your friend's shitty encounter. Good luck with that.

I'm not on as much as I used to be, at least for reading entries.

I wish you'd post MORE though, I certainly miss you.

Yeah, me either. I will certainly try to be better at posting. I think I can stick to once a month at least, or just put up pictures or something.
Aw shucks, I miss you too, player!

Hello. I remember coming across your website somehow and then losing the URL, but I think you're work is amazing. I've done my fair share of bombing in NYC as youngin' mostly for the rush and because it was a part of my adolescence, but from what I've seen you've got that thing where people just stop and look and no words are needed. Fucking amazing.

I myself know what it's like to be a struggling artist in many respects, so I can definitely relate to part of your entry. Perhaps one day I might be able to afford to be able to commission you to do something for me.

But can I just say how really fucking (pardon my french, I cuss when excited which is basically all the time) how refreshing it is to come across an artist such as yourself. During a time where in my opinion, the arts are a barren wasteland, makes me think all is not lost.

Anyhow, I'd love to add you and hopefully talk sometime about a possible commission.

My name is Candice, btw =D Pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Thank you so much for the positive words of encouragement. It seriously helps to keep me moving forward with this, I really appreciate that, Candice. "That thing" that you say that I have, I sometimes have a hard time telling if I really truly possess.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
