IT WON'T LOAD
the %*$#@*%$#@ application is not loading again, after hours of at least partial loading. It has got to be one of the most annoying things ever. Maybe i just procastinate too much... but still.....
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

...I think all advisors tell their advisees to download the application early and do everything early just for this specific reason...

good luck, though...I hope they download soon for you! it'd really suck if you couldn't get them done because their website was fucked up. :(

just to prove it really was messed up... they extended the deadline. AFTER i went through all that pain! But anyway to answer your (previous) question, i'm applying to UCLA, UCSC (safety school!) and Berkeley just because my mom was like 'why not?' so yeah. woohoo!!

I wish I could apply to UCs. Is it not too expensive for you?
I looked at the other places you said you were looking at. I don't think I'm going to apply to any of them. You should look at the places I'm applying to. I'd be surprised if there is not a school that has the things both of us are looking for.

It sounds fun there even though you must be really stressed out right now. But yeah I'm very jealous of the fact that there is actually stuff to go and do there and it is not cold in december.

i'm not sure about the whole residency thing, since we own our house and i think we were paying residency taxes up until this year.... so hopefully i will not have to pay heaps if i decide to go to college in california.... *crosses fingers*

I have looked at some of the colleges you were talking about! barnard looks quite cool (although obviously not co-ed), um and yeah i will look at the other ones... (which ones were they? I think i have an email about it some place...)
Its really cool that you're not just planning on going to UCSC like everyone else... i'm definitely looking at east coast schools and you seem to as well! hurrah!

i'm sure we can work something out.

Actually the think about Barnard is that since its across from Columbia you can take almost any class at either institution. That way it is hardly all girls since you would be interacting with Columbia students everyday. I think they even have some shared residences. The other placing I am looking at are Beloit, Antioch, Lewis and Clark, Macalester,and Oberlin
