I was checking students out of the residence hall and this is a conversation I had as a student was signing off on their room.

Student: "Whats the date?"
Me: "The 12th"
Student (with attitude): "Of what??"
Me (with hesitation): "...of..Decemberrr"

I asked my niece today if she was ready for Thanksgiving...of course she said yes.  I then asked her if we could be thankful today to.  She curled up her eyebrows and gave me a questioning look.  She did not seem to think that every day was full  of potential thankfulness. Only one day in every 365 is deserving of verbal thankfulness.  How easy it ( Read more... )
