I had an awesome weekend -mostly out camping & exploring on the last trip I had planned. (Though I still have a lot of places I want to see, I won't be able to until late July/August...)

My evil plan
My evil plan is to sign a 12 month lease (or go month to month if I don't move) in August. Then, next summer, when my lease expires, I'll place all my worldly possesions into mini-storage, park my car at a friend's house, and take a leave of absence from work... I'm thinking two or three months. Or up to seven, if I can swing it...

To cap off a busy week, the season closer of the Oregon Symphony was tonight. They'd played a very good show, but I'd especially enjoyed the new piece by Robert Kyr - Symphony 12, "Armed Man Variations". Kyr is a northwest composer, and I haven't heard a lot of his work, but I like what I have... It seems timeless and natural in a way that makes ( Read more... ) -
