I can do a phd with my current workplace, full time, but I'd have to be located in another city from the university (so an external phd), they'd own my intellectual property, and they'd be giving me extra work to do, not related to my phd.

Or, I can quit my job and take the APA phd scholarship, which is a half pay cut, but I can go and live on

This is all too familiar lately - going out with friends, and then coming home and, within seconds of being alone, completely hating everything and just not feeling good at all.

So, why am I agonising about a guy who probably doesn't like me? If he does, he would have said something. It's always unrequited or there's always just something wrong. This is the same guy from, months ago, months and months.. this is stupid.

It's just one of those days when I'm missing Sweden and I'm having doubts about my job and current position in life, and I just want a hug or some kind of human contact.

I think this is another passing phase?

So, I got first class honours. All this year I couldn't imagine myself being able to say that, and it feels great to be able to. So I got offered the job that I wanted. I guess I'm keen on it. It's a good job, it pays a lot, I wouldn't say it's what I've been dreaming of doing my whole life (but I don't know what I've been dreaming of doing), but it's a really good job, a prestigious one. So those jobs that I went for an interview for? Two of them have called my supervisor at uni for a reference. I hadn't told him I was applying for any jobs and his response to me was.. interesting.
