And The Booze Shall Flow

Oct 27, 2007 00:43

Who: Luine and anyone feeling like booze. Who knows.
When: Friday Night of course. Time of half price mixed drinks.
Where: Osiscia
What: Half priced mixed drinks, a lack of a bouncer, and a side of government subversion. How could it be a more perfect night?
Warnings: Dude, the booze is half off. That is the warning.

She's putting her drinks up for half price... Long night, here comes Luine. )

"Do you have a kiddie room for them or something?" Remy asks in a strained whisper, gripping tightly at the edge of a chair. He knows how improbable the possibility of that is, but he could hope, right? They were attracting too much attention.

Then there's a squeak, a familiar one at that, and Remy turns to spot Smith panicking near the entrance. Oh--oh hey!

"Smith?" Remy briskly walks to his co-worker and places hands on his shoulders. Oh, cool, Remy's actually taller than this guy--er, anyway. "Breathe. In, out, in, out, just breathe, please." Hey, don't die. You're a great guy, really you are, and you could be put to greater use not-dead.

Are bars normally this-- hectic? A large majority of the population here seems painfully out of place -- like those two kids, and then the teacher who looks like he's going to faint, and well, that other spazztastic teacher-- wait. Then it's alarm bells going off in his head, since that teacher can be a little spacey at times, and he hopes that nothing goes wrong. Last thing he wants is a Penombra member search.

He's toying idly with the drinks menu - (he's thinking of getting something light, maybe just a beer) - and glances over at the two kids. "No idea, but sure seems like it." A dry laugh. "You come here more often than I do. Is it usually this full of weird people here? I thought bars were supposed to be populated with drunk guys, not teachers and kids."

Because nothing bad's going to happen, right?

Zell grinned and kicked Nida playfully under the table. "If he sells us out, I'll just kick his ass, right? Don't worry about it. Plus, he might not even show up 'cause he's an ASS--"

Zell moved his chair halfway around the table to prop his legs up on the rungs of Nida's seat and absently picked up a list of drinks. Almasy was such an ASS and now they had to wait a whole half hour like ten minutes wasn't enough and that was totally stretching it he totally would've just stood around for two minutes then LEFT and if Almasy wasn't gonna show up why didn't he MENTION it or something. Geez.

But uhh, WHOA teacher and WHOA teacher and WHOA scary lady what the hell they were totally getting triple-teamed, SO EXTREMELY UNFAIR--

Zell waved. "Uhh we were gonna meet up with Almasy and go somewhere awesome to hang out 'cause we haven't seen him in FOREVER but uhh uhh if we're not s'posed to be here we could totally wait outside and then kick him for it later, and uhh peoplearecomingover we should totally clear out now Nidaaa--"

"Sure you can handle him alone?" Nida teased, smirking. "He's always been stronger than any of us by ourselves." That he would give the blond, he was damn strong.

He tries not to pay Remy or that Smith guy any attention, they're already getting attention and that could be bad.

"Think he's screwed us over again, so we should really be getting on our way. There are other places we can hang out."

Well, they said Seifer, so Luine expected this was the best explanation she was going to get. And Remy seemed to know them. But really, just what she needed, idiots in her bar.

"I don't know what the wise idea is, Remy, but you can't bring kids here."

Hopefully the fool will get the idea. "If you want to show the kids what drunk fools are like, go have them talk to that drunk Sai that hangs around outside."

If the fool doesn't get it, then they are screwed. Well, the kids are, but she's still got drinks to serve, and nothing she can do for the kids right now. When she saw Seifer again, she was going to beat his ass.

For now, though, back to Terry and the other guy at the bar. "Okay hun, I'm back, what do you want? I've got more than enough booze for someone as cute as you."
