Friday afternoon was pleasantly spent shopping for ridiculously extravagant shoes with J and M on Market.

I wanted something that whispered "coquette" but instead walked out with something that screams "cockette

I've never understood the concept of shopping as a substitute for a relationship.

Now drinking as a substitute for a relationship/job/place in society, on the other hand...

Not shopping in general (I actually find retail therapy rather unpleasant and tedious especially when it comes to clothes), but for some reason I never tire of shopping for shoes.

I wonder if I start looking for Star Trek conventions as a convenient excuse to purchase outrageously extravagant shoes if this would just be like cracking the bottom of an already shaky dam, and it just opens this whole new world of masochistic shoe-buying behavior, a world in which I find myself in successively worse situations as a way of justifying a desire which isn't so responsible in the first place.

I think I could live with this.
