Dvorak's Slavonic Dance No. 8 and I go way back. High school, college, orchestras, piano four hands, listening, playing, arranging. And without fail, it makes me smile every time I hear it.
I do not like John Cage. I have tried desperately to overcome this prejudice against him, but I just don't see any value at all in his work. Here is one of the things that amuses me the most in my dislike:

I'm selling my clarinet. I hope to at some point get another, nicer one, but in the interim, I'm selling my Buffet B12. It's not going to be used for teaching, and it's not fancy enough for me to really enjoy playing it "for fun." I'm a snob, I know.

Tim and I bought a beautiful 7 quart slow cooker last weekend, dreaming of many yummy things to be cooked in it. While we have some ideas, we're also looking for other options.
Any favorite crock pot recipes? They don't necessarily have to be non-dairy -- I can substitute out for most things. :)
It is such a scrumptious fall day and I am full of energy. Unfortunately, it's of the "oh, look, shiny!" variety. Hopefully I can corral it enough to get some transcription work done, and then go for a bike ride later. Yum.
