Ack.  Been sick a lot the last three weeks.  (Migraines the last two fridays, chills/fever the last two days.)  I'm hoping I'm getting this all out of the way at once and won't be sick again until next winter.    Hey, I can dream, right ( Read more... )

I'm not dead yet.   I just have a migraine.

This semester has been pretty miserable, in terms of things I've needed to do and my capacity to do them.  However, my roommates are awesome, and the house we're renting (called the Treehouse) is pretty cool, too.

If one inevitably falls short of one's goals, it's better to aim high.  That way, there's more room for interesting failures.

So, I got pulled over for the first time ever while walking home from class today.  Crossing without a walk signal.  Car put its flashing lights on, but no sirens.  (I was disappointed.)  This raises two questions:  is this a moving violation?  and, more importantly, do the cops here have a rule against smiling while on the job?  (I'm cute!  I'm ( Read more... )
