my mother dropped off the dog today.  i'll be the sole custodian of the animal until i'm recalled to work this spring.  this reminded me of the last time i had the dog.  she chewed through the screen and jumped out the second story window, and was missing for a week.  a family in clio found her and put an ad in the newspaper.  mom's idea was to let ( Read more... )

lots of precipitation yesterday=overtime for a surface water manager. wading through nipple deep water in waders and a t-shirt. reaching armpit deep in frigid water to lift a 200 pound manhole cover. couldn't feel my fingers for twenty minutes after that.
