Life is fun right now. Found out that I have 2 cavities, but new dentist can fix them both for $300. Which I will have come appointment time Oct 20th. Not too bad after not seeing a dentist or having teeth "professionally" clean for at least 5-6 years. Nice Dr. too. Going to give me drugs to relax me as I found out when he was checking my teeth,

What dentist? And you've discovered this new fear. But rather than let it stop you, you've already figured out how you are going to get through it. I think you should be incredibly proud of you! Seriously, you handled that amazingly!

Thanks. That is a better way to look at it. New dentist is Dr. Ames and he is AMAZING. He is going to give me a sedative before he does the fillings because I talked to him about it. He doesn't believe that people should be scared at the dentist. He also hooked me up with CNC. Still a little freaked out, but that is because everything kind of dropped in my lap within a few days. I think I will feel better when the teeth are fixed and I am X-rayed at CNC to make sure there are no more problems. It's only $35 a YEAR at CNC for cleaning and x-rays, $5 less than one visit to the dentist.

I'm a few months late but reading this, how scary for you and you handled it far better than I ever could.
Are you all well now?

Side note, a couple of my gf's and I had similar plans, expectations in regards to marrying and settling down. They both married rather young, one is single after a messy divorce, the other is twice divorced...me, I was engaged twice but haven't married yet so for now I haven't joined the married nor divorce club. Never lower your standards, just continue life at your own pace & things will fall into place as they should ;)

I am doing better, thanks. Getting regular cleanings at the colleges dental clinic now, so I am getting used to it and I trust the Hygenist I have.

Most of my cousins and Aunts and Uncles have been married and divorced or have kids from a few different fathers and I never wanted that. I am a romantic, as I want to only marry once, but I am also very sure of what I want and how I want to be treated. Which is why I am single and haven't stayed with the men who have treated me badly. Just get lonely sometimes, lol.
