Funny thing is, I was just replying to the whole thing because other people were replying to the whole thing.

I was never seriously involved in it.

People are aloud to believe what they want to believe.
But others, who believe differently, won't always remain quiet. That is the beauty of our culture and our laws. That they don't have to sit quiet and take it.

You say "take it" but it wasn't a personal attack on Mike or anything. If it bothered him that much, then I say go ahead and stick up for yourself...but there are OTHER and more mature ways of doing it.
Attacking someone will only make them bite back, you guys need to learn that and try to be more patient with people and get your views/points across in a better way.
I think had he done that this would have not escalated into what it has become.

Some arguement that errupted on my friends lj. Her friend made a remark on how boys are immature. (But in a different, more derogatory way, I would think)
and so, my bf, disliking that comment, responded in a sarcastic way, which lead to the arguement.
