I <3 the Tupperware but never buy it because I can't justify the expense. For now, I use huge ice cream pails (empty ones from the ice cream shop) for sugar and flour, and large ziploc bags for brown sugar, oats, bran, etc. It's sure easy to measure from a ziploc bag but they don't store well, and there is *nothing* worse than dumping bran and brown sugar on a hot stove. I forgot the burner was still warm and I set the bags on the stove for a second....go me.

I'm just going to buy a piece at a time. I have some rubbermaid that I'm using right now for my flour but the size that I like you can only buy in a 3 piece kit and the smallest one of those I have no use for. I figure that having the right sizes and something that will stack and eventually be all organizable will be worth the little extra I have to pay.

I mean, its still months and months away but I can be incredibly patient once I've decided what I want to do.

I have glass jars for storing all my stuff. They look nice on the counter but if I want I could always stuff them up in a cupboard. I think they're like cookie jars. My sugar and flour both go into those. The brown sugar stays in its bag and flour has a "cup" because we sprinkle it on Dutch Babies.
