Well, after things going further south (my aunt was in a car accident Friday afternoon...she broke her wrist and sprained her ankle, plus other assorted bumps and bruises and a totaled car), it was a pretty uneventful weekend.  Hopefully whatever curse I was under last week has ended.

My step-father was in an accident this afternoon on his motorcycle.  I don't know the specifics, but he had a choice between hitting the pickup that caused the accident, or going for the ditch.  The ditch won, of course.  He went over the handlebars, and he wasn't wearing a helmet.  The bike is totaled, and the guy in the pickup just drove off.

Mandy had a thing come home from school asking about her ancestry, so last night Tim and I were starting to enter info into a family tree program.  Nobody on my maternal side really got into tracking stuff like that, and my father split when I was only 6 weeks old so I've never really known anything about the paternal side, and I remember how ( Read more... )

Now I understand why some people simply stop going to the doctor.  I had my follow-up with my OB/GYN this morning, and when she told me we'd be scheduling at least one, possibly two more biopsies I'd had about all I could take and just started crying.  I'm just SO tired of dealing with all of this, and it just seems so damned unfair that now we're ( Read more... )
