Monday morning... I wish I could say I were happier than I was on Friday or Saturday - but I am not.  I AM, on the other hand, feeling rather personally validated - not that this will bring me much peace of mind.

I lost one of the best friends and companions a guy could want today. Nadine developed severe jaundice and was beyond anything that could help. At 21 years - she was a very old but dear friend. She was one fantastic cat. We knew she couldn't last much longer. At 21 years she had a very good and long life.

I am not a great gardener - and I am not able to put the time in I would like... but after several years and three attempts - I got a Mexican Sunflower to maturity and one great gorgeous bloom.

Tniassaint pushes to door open just a tiny bit and pokes his head in.

The dust makes small looping swirls on the floor. There is little sign of life.

"Is there anyone in there?", he whispers into the darkness of LJ.

Off in some far corner he sees some tiny lights burning away - and he decides to go peek at who's about.

No news is good news
or sometimes it's just non-news
or just groan and nod.

(... of course then there's always, "I just don't want to talk about it" news.)

So sometimes I just don't feel like spreading the news.
