i had my first drawing class yesterday! yay! it was fun. we used postcards of well-known artists' paintings to reproduce on 18x24 sktechpads and just get used to making shapes and working with dimension (and with charcoal). it was pretty cool. everyone did surprisingly good replications, i was impressed. i don't think i did too terribly myself.
