I killed a raccoon this morning, at about 2:30 AM. At least one. Probably two or three. I was driving home from a fire call and I saw a garbage bag square in the middle of the road. Slept since the last post, got woken up by Dad. He has now been informed - he didn't know - about the torrential downpour that occurred while I was in DMV. He no longer assumes I am a shitty driver.

I totalled my car today.

I didn't just total my car. I hydroplaned, my back wheels slid out from behind me, I struck one wall, bounced across the road to the other, drove up the divider , did a roller coaster flip, and landed on the roof.

I then unbuckled my seatbelt and crawled out through the shattered window, staring in disbelief.
