See, now I couldn't agree more. The Starbucks I was working at closed, and the local college my boyfriend was at, sent everyone home. He worked for the local fire department (I wasn't an emt yet.), so of course, everyone was put on standby. We layed in his bed, he in his Paramedic uniform, and I in my Starbucks uniform, and we held eachother while we watched the tv and waited for more news. He was so afraid of what might happen to him, (as I was too), but he refused to pretend like he hadn't gotten the standby message. One thing led to another, (as it often does), and before we knew it, we were trying to fuck away our fears and we were fucking to distract ourselves from the crazy world around us, and then we were making love like it was the end of the world, which for all we knew, it was
( ... )
Really? I don't think my boyfriend and I had sex for awhile after 9/11...at least a few days; I don't really remember when the first time we did afterwards. But I DO remember having sex a few weeks later, and thoroughly enjoying it.
Yep, I agree. By the way, I joined your community "Post Queer", and posted a little query about 'why are there so many cute boys out there that turn out to be lesbians?'. They don't like me very much, over there.
i'm in that community but i took it off my friends list fairly soon after and thus it is not on my friends page and thus I have not checked it out since. i'm in all these communities I joined when i was on some super-livejournal-kick, but in general I only read shit on my friends page.
fascinating. xanax. kicking. in. maybe it's time to go to sleep...
To celebrate the Sept 11th festivities i went out and saw that compilation of 11 short films from 11 different countries, aptly titled, "September 11th." while not all of them were fantasmic, most were pretty informative, and the one by the director of Amores Perros was fucking intense.
anyway, the reason i post this on here is because ken loach's short dealt directly with the Chilean assassination of '71, which was first brought to my attention by none other than YOU, mister totalvirility! *clapclapclap*
btw, twas I who posted the "28dayslaterhotassboy" comment on your previous journal entry... i hath arrived...
but how was sean penn's contribution? I still haven't seen that thing...I get the impression mr. penn's film is not the highlight. in fact i get the impression that it is maybe pretty lame. which is sad cuz I kinda wish it rocked. kinda like how I can't help but kinda love sean penn, even as he continually proves himself to be less cool than he could be.
Sean's little slice of cake was just that...a mere trifle. He was going for sentimental, equating the loss of one individual and relegating the demise of the towers to a mere subplot, which is fine in and of itself...if of course his main story is worth our time.
I wish Sean was cool too, and to give him his due, there was a slight moment at the end that showed a very inventive use of cinematography, but then he went into fairy tale land and broke the mood of the piece.
i have to go now because there's a hot boy in a video on mtv and i'm a shallow bastard and need my full attention on him and him alone...
