I've always hated october because of the transition. No matter how nicely it begins, by the end of it you know for a solid fact you won't be warm again for six months. romance, truely, is sitting in the rite aid parking lot at 8:45 a.m. after the third sleepless night in a row sharing shots of day-quil with your person in hopes that one or both of you might make it though the day at work. To some, this qualifies as an actual date.

This year is the first time in my life ive looked forward to october.
