EDIT: The more I think about this the more I think it is a PR stunt (I know, you are saying of course). I don't know how his makes me feel...bothered? annoyed? foolish?

I'm sure the books could be donated to a good cause...so why all the hoopla?

this guy needs to be at a fol book sale on a saturday morning. that aught to renew a bit of faith.

I am so homesick for the FOL sale. I would save for months, clear my calendar for that whole morning from about 7 a.m. till noon, then haul my booty in the car over to a cheap brunch at the Clock.

I'd love to do this at my library, but I think the director would toss me in as well. It's so true about the decline. The number of teens per day that actually peruse the books in my department is pitiful. Many of them head straight to the computers, use their two hours and head back out again. Must...do...something.
