So today I'm supposed to get parts for the wheels for my new touring bike, a prospect which is terribly exciting. I'm hoping to get them built this week so that next week Sarah and I can ride our bikes to Madison, where I am going to get fitted for a custom bike. last night I entered my first race that wasn't on my tallbike. I came in third, but I had the answer to the bonus question, so I tied for second. I got real lucky, but I realized that I'm not THAT much slower than the really fast people I know. So Thursday night I was coming home from Working Bikes and I saw a can laying in the street. As it tends to be my policy to run over cans in the street, I did so. BIG MISTAKE! So long time no post, lots of crazy stuff has been goin' on, most of it good. I now work at TWO bike shops, 20 hours a week each, I am attempting to type with my short finger for the first time since I shortened it, and it seems to be working alright so far. I found out today that I have a job at Working bikes as a mechanic 20 hours a week. That isn't as much as I need to be working, but it's a start, and it's totally the fulfillment of whole tons of dreams I've had since I was like 16 or 17. I'm waaaaaaaay excited. In other news, Sarah is awesome. I just thought EVERYONE should know.

so.... um....yeah. Long time no update. I got a new nickname. My new nickname is 9.8 'cuz that's how many fingers I have left. I kinda sheared the end of my right finger off in a bike chain.
