Robert just, while practicing flicking near the cake on the "coffee table" (a pile of two bookshelves and a drawer), flicked the point of the epee a little lower than he had anticipated. So I was at the SVSC (that's Sexual Violence in Societal Context for all you non-Earlham people) poster exhibition, and I read a very powerful poem wherein was contained some staggering statistics: every three minutes a woman is assaulted, every five minutes a woman is raped, and every ten minutes, a little girl is raped. Life is good. This weekend was Louhelen, which resolved many of my activism woes. Shannon, Brendan, and I returned from an excellent weekend just in time for Robert's birthday party, which was a sort of-quasi surprise to him. I have just realized something: social behaviour makes me physically tired. It is more exhausting to stand and talk to someone for an extended period of time than is to endure two hours of climbing class. then again, anti-social behavior makes depressed. sigh.
