Attack of the killer horse flies

This was my first weekend of NYC Marathon training. Saturday I had a 2 hour run that my coach said to do on the green belt. I love the green belt. SusanF and I got 39 minutes into the run when all of a sudden we were surrounded by a swarm of horse flies (appox 30 of them). They were very aggressive and they were biting us. Oh Ouch! Those little (big) bastards have jaws! I can remember getting chunks of flesh removed from my back by them when I was somewhere around the age of 10.

I'm not sure which is more scary- the flies or the snack crossing. Wait, I'd like to find a snack crossing- where was it again?

I wish I could avoid those pesky snacks! I'd be 20 lbs lighter if they would just stopped crossing in front of me.
