The Cradle Robber -- My Old Man -- Fashion King

Understanding

It was their first big fight after living together for 3 years. And also for the first time Jaejoong left the place they called home together and went to his mother's place in Gwangju.

His mother didn't say anything but welcoming him with open arms, let him cried his heart out without asking a question. He spent 2 days inside his childhood bedroom. And Yunho didn't call him at all. It broke his heart but he knew better that he was the one who started the fig- disagreement. Still, he wished that Yunho would say something.

A knock on his door broke his train of thoughts, he didn't say anything but he saw his mother got inside the room and sat herself on the bed. He stayed still by the windowsill.

"So..."

"So?"

"Ready to tell me why you're here and not with 'the love of your life'? Not even a phone call to each other?"

"I-" he breathed heavily, trying to hold back the tears that threatened to fall at the sight of his gentle mother. "He didn't tell me something important. I felt like he didn't trust me that I had to hear it from other people."

Jaejoong still remembered the night of the party to celebrate Yunho's team's victory in the latest championship. Everyone chatted happily; they were holding hands in the middle of a light conversation with the other coaches when one of them casually spoke to his lover.

"Hey Yunho, the head of Busan team asked me to convey his apology to you. He felt bad about 'the gift' that you rejected."

Yunho smiled sourly, "They should've known better than to do it again. I thought the other branches told them already I'm not that kind of guy. Tell them one more time and they can forget about inviting me another time."

"Well, with a lover like yours..." He smiled at Jaejoong who looked at him in confusion. "They were so afraid that you wouldn't return to coach again since you just left then.

"What gift?" Jaejoong asked. And that's where it started to the point that he just packed his bag the next morning and left Yunho standing dejectedly at the threshold of their home.

"I found out that Yunho had been-... offered with sexual services in a few out of town training." He inhaled deeply. "He didn't tell me anything until I heard it from other coaches."

His mother stared at him. "Did he accept any of the service? Was that why you’re here now?"

"No!!" He retorted, eyes wide in horror. "Of course not! I would've killed him with my own hands if he ever slept with someone else!” Just thinking about the possibility of Yunho cheated on him made his face go red.

His mother chuckled at the heated reply, “Then why are you so angry?”

“Because he didn’t tell me about it!”He yelled in frustration. “I thought we were supposed to trust each other, I told him about everything that I’m going through, everything that I do, even about that pervert girl who’s trying to glue her- her-“ he looked at her mother. “Her boobs in the midst of a packed train!”

Raised eyebrows from the other side.

“So why can’t he tell me about something like this, why can’t he trust me?” He pulled his hair in frustration.

“Oh you silly boy!” A smack on his head.

“Ouch!! Mom!! Why did you do that? Aren’t you supposed to say ‘Oh my dear son, you poor boy, y-‘“

“You don’t deserve it.” She cut him off. “Let me ask you one thing. If he told you about it would it make you happy?”

“I won’t be exactly happy but-“

“Wouldn’t you feel like coming with him to his next out of town training just to check if there’s a girl inside his room or not?”

“Well, I might have, I’m his partner! And -“

“EXACTLY!” His mother yelled at him and that shut him up. She sighed, “It’s you who doesn’t understand him all these years, darling. He didn’t want you to feel unhappy… he didn’t want you to doubt him… and he definitely didn’t want to make you feel insecure. Even without him telling you any of it he had proven that he’s faithful to you, hadn’t he?”

And Jaejoong burst into tears to the honest realization. “Oh Mom, I’m such a jerk! And I just left him like that… he’ll hate me, do you think he will take me back? But-“ he thought for a few seconds, ‘but he didn’t call me at all and I’ve been here for 2 days already, maybe he already hated me! Mother, what do I do, wha-“

He was enveloped in his mother’s warm embrace, “Silly, silly boy… my dear silly boy… he doesn’t hate you. He wanted to give you time to think things over, to be able to forgive him though I may say that you’re the one who needs forgiven and not him! In fact, he hadn’t been sleeping nor eating since you left even though he was the one who wanted to give you time.”

Jaejoong suddenly pulled off from his mother’s embrace with a shocked face. “What? He’s not eating nor sleeping while I’m here? And how did you even know about this?”

“Junsu called me around lunchtime, saying that he had to literally shove some rice down Yunho’s throat so he could take a sleeping pill and rest while waiting for you to clear your head and come home. Honestly, he already called me and explained the moment you ran out of the house; he knew you’d be here.”

They looked at each other for a few seconds before Jaejoong jumped on his feet and picked up his phone and wallet.

“Mom, I’m sorry I have to leave just like this but Yunho needs me and I-“

His mother smiled and hugged him once again, “Go… he needs you… just, stop acting like a child and understand him more like he understands you, darling.”

“Yeah… I love you Mom.”

“I love you too, baby.”

So Jaejoong ran to the station to catch the last KTX out to Seoul. But not before sending his brother a message to wait up on him, he’s coming home.

As soon as he got home he got a bad scolding and a threat from his brother, “You better treat him nicer now or you’ll see me back here soon!”

‘Of course I’ll see you here, you’re my brother… strange kid…’ Jaejoong thought.

And a sleepy Changmin who gave him a hug and said, “Hyung, you better go groceries shopping tomorrow… your fridge’s empty…” Jaejoong was sure that it wasn’t empty when he left and his mother had said Yunho didn’t eat anything much while he’s gone. But he doesn’t want to know about the mysterious disappearance of his cooking materials now.

Jaejoong thanked them both anyway for looking after Yunho and they left when Yoochun picked them up.

He tiptoed to the bedroom and sat beside his sleeping partner. He looked tired and even in his sleep his eyebrows furrowed as if he’s thinking about something.

Jaejoong changed into his pajama and got on the bed. He spooned Yunho from behind, inhaling his scent as regrets and guilt washed over him. Apparently the sleeping pill wasn’t strong enough to keep him sleeping, he stirred and was about to turn around but Jaejoong held him still.

“Ssshhh, go back to sleep… I’m here, I’m home.”

He sighed and put his hands over his, “Jae…” he slurred in his sleep. “I’m sorrr-“

“I’m sorry.” He retorted softly. “I’m sorry baby… I shouldn’t have left… I love you…”

He could see Yunho’s smile even though he didn’t face him.

“I- I.. looovee youuuu… Zzzzzz” and Yunho’s soft snore filled the silent bedroom.

“Oh dear, you must be dead tired.” He held him tighter. He knew that things are alright now, Yunho loves him and the world is alright.

He didn’t need to hear anymore explanations, he’s been thinking a lot on the way back home… He knew that Yunho never wanted to hurt him in anyway.

Maybe sometimes things are better left unsaid.

Maybe sometimes words are not needed to show you care.

Yunho had shown him in the most gentle way how much he loved him, by taking care of his heart.

He may not be a man with many words, but he’d shown him enough through his actions and he shouldn’t have doubted him.

He learned a bitter sweet lesson this time. Even though he always said that he wanted Yunho to treat him as equal even though he’s much younger, he hadn’t realized that he had been acting like a stubborn child most of the times. But Yunho understands, Yunho still loves him.

And Jaejoong fell asleep holding Yunho tight with a promise in his head to reward him with the best wake up sex ever in the morning.

Yunho missed Jaejoong already. With the International Championship coming in two months, he’d been staying at the athletes’ hotel for intensive training for 2 weeks. He called Jaejoong everyday but it’s not enough. They couldn’t even meet on weekends because weekends were used as Coach meeting and planning. He missed his baby badly… and he’s sexually frustrated as well even though he had no more energy to spent just thinking of it.

He opened his room’s door and didn’t even bother to turn on the light before he took off his shirt and headed to the bathroom.

That’s when he heard a soft voice coming from the bed, “Do you want me to wash your back, Ahjussi…”

‘Shit! Not again!’ was what he thought as he turned around. He couldn’t the see clearly at the face but from the lights through the window he could see a milky white expanse of skin.

“You must be tired, Ahjussi… let me help you…” the voice was sultry and spoken with a hush that Yunho started to fear his insanity to get just a little bit excited at hearing it.

He shook his head fast and told himself, ‘It’s not Jaejoong, tell her to get the hell out of here.’

“Look, lady… whoever got you here, tell them I’m not interested. I’m going out now to give you a few minutes to dress up and leave, otherwise-“

“Lady?” A chuckle… “I heard you like young boys… pretty young boys… and I must say you won’t regret me. I’m young…” another seductive hush, “and I’m pretty… come on Ahjussi, let me help you…” And the person made a move on the bed.

Yunho quickly moved to open the door, “I’m not joking, I’m leaving now and-“ He was stunned as he saw the silhouette of that person who was now standing by the bed. “Jae??!!” He shouted in shock.

“Ahjussi, you might want to close the door now before anyone can see me…”

Yunho closed his door with a slam as he rushed to Jaejoong’s side, gapping like a fish out of water, “How did- how can- who let you in-“

“Shush, ahjussi… Let’s just say that no one will say no someone who wants to please his spouse?” Jaejoong smiled seductively as he trailed a finger from Yunho’s chest to the band of his underwear that’s peeking out of his jeans. “Don’t you miss me?”

“Damn I missed you!” That’s all Jaejoong heard before Yunho pounced and dragged him to bed.

Jaejoong laughed as they made love all night… showing just how much they’re missing each other.

When they finally laid in each other’s arms, Yunho ran his hands through Jae’s bare arms.

“Don’t surprise me like that again, sweetie.”

Jaejoong smiled and sighed contently, “I just missed you so much… “

“But you could always call and tell me if you wanted to come, you know.”

“Yeah… but I wanted to surprise you.”

“And you succeed.” He chuckled as he pecked his lips. “And you really think you’re pretty aren’t you?”

Jaejoong snorted, “Don’t tell me you don’t think so?”

“I do… and baby?”

“Hm?”

“You’re right… I like it young and pretty.”

Jaejoong laughed.

“I’ll show you just how much I like it.”

Yunho sealed the deal with a passionate kiss… and thought, ‘Oh god, I guess I won’t be sleeping at all tonight!’
