::opens window:: Oh, the dogs, they are a singin'!
Tosh broke me. When she said, "Because you're breaking my heart," I just lost it. And Jack. Has that man been through way too much or what? I thought that I had become impervious to actors crying but they all got to me.
::joins in with the collie next door:: aaah-woooo!
Oh, I'm so glad you're back! I hope it's to stay? =)
And it's funny, but I find LJ such an encouraging environment. Just seeing lots of other people doing interesting or everyday things makes me want to... I dunno, be more proactive in general, I guess. If that makes sense?
Your Devour pics are just... whoa. Jensen Ackles' neck. *stares*
And thank you for tipping me off on Shelter! I just checked, and it's showing in Portland on Friday, so I'm totally going to go see it. Score!
I tend to subscribe to the ::ahem:: wrongheaded thinking that if I'm not making some kind of progress then it's because of something I enjoy - like LJ. (Sometimes no one is meaner to me than I am.) ::shrugs - hands:: Still, it was good for me to take some time away from it to figure out that it's not more time that I need but simply to make a decision and stick to it. I'm always second guessing what I want to do and in the process I don't do a thing.
Whoever was the cinematographer on Devour must of had a field day. There are so many loving shots in that movie. One of the many close ups highlights each and every one of Jensen's freckles. ::wipes away a happy tear::
You're in Portland? I need to pay attention. I thought you were in or around LA.
\o/ !!! Please tell me what you think of Shelter because apparently I am unable to wait until May when I can see it for myself. I have not glommed onto a film like this since Brokeback Mountain. The way they look at each just kills me. The actors are my new heroes.
I'm always second guessing what I want to do and in the process I don't do a thing.I bet you do more than you think. :) I've had sort of the same problem, though. I try to appreciate my time in and of itself, no matter how productive I am (or not), but at the same time, it's frustrating to feel so adrift. In psychology, they talk about contingent value (things have value depending on narrowly defined criteria) vs. pluralistic value (things have value based on a wide range of qualities). I know I'm happier when I think of my time and myself in terms of pluralistic value, but it's so natural to try to hold myself to "higher" standards
