Sometimes I wish that instead of giving me functions like Polylog and Erf, Mathematica would just do this:

Input[229]:= Integrate[Log[1 + Exp[-B(E - m)]], {E,0,Infinity}]

Output[230]= Trust me, you don't want to know.

I like the original song, I love Poison, but man is this terrible. Just how washed up does Poison have to be to think that wearing suits and covering a faux-pop-punk 80's song is a good idea? I'm grading the labs for this week (where they put different waveforms from a function generator through a speaker and frequency analyzer) and I'm getting some great descriptions of sound. ( Some of the best... )

Grading in purple crayon right now. It doesn't get better than this.

I just sent in a rental application for a house that I really, really hope I get. It's up on a hill and really nice. Oh, how I hope I get it!

From here on out I'm doing all of my grading in crayon. Because it's awesome.

Sometimes you wake up and read a headline that nearly causes you to spew your cereal all over your monitor.

Today was one of those days.

At some point in their lives, physicists undergo a transformation from physics students, who hate infinite vector spaces, to physics professors, who love the damn things like Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad loves berating the United States. I hope to god I never undergo that transformation.

Words cannot express how much Hilbert spaces suck.
