Okay, the big secret can now be revealed. For the past month or two, I've been taking driving lessons, in prepration for going to get my driver's license. As of this morning, I am now a licensed driver in the state of Missouri. Please keep your children, pets, and old people off the sidewalks

I know I've already expressed my jubilations (Since you just HAD to call me, because you couldn't hold it in anymore) Unfortunately, now I get to teach you how to drive a stick ;)

Down-and-left-and-up-for-reverse is pretty weird.

But I'm not sure if I want to let him do more with the Golf than drive around a parking lot, seeing as it's my only car.

The Volvo has a "pull locking ring - left - up" setup, plus the baffling pushbutton for the electric overdrive stuffed right in the middle of the shift knob.

The SAAB would be the best. The Unfindable Reverse. There is a certain Zen required to get that car to back up.
