I've made some wonderful friends via LJ in the past, no doubt about it ... still, back when I started this, it was a tumultuous time emotionally in my life... not that it isn't now, but on a different level... and it seemed that a lot of pain and problems came with me at that time, things that caused problems for others. Repelled and attracted
I am repelled by high-handed words and arrogant attitudes. I am drawn by humility and kindness. If you think me wrong about something, you will win no arguments by the former, but will win respect and possibly a re-thinking of my ideas due to the latter. -
Stark raving mad crazy
So... what do you do when you're on unemployment, and the only other income you have is from a unique situation that is driving you out of your ever-loving gourd.... but you can't do without it and there is no where else you can go in your area that would be a better fit in many ways. Fort Hood
My heart goes out today to those who lost loved ones in the rampage at Fort Hood, and for those who were wounded. This is no doubt a horrible shock to all of them. I also pray for those in the Muslim community who do not share the views of Muslim extremists, but are still being threatened and endangered by those who do not understand that one ( Read more... ) -

I have to say I really don't trust anyone's word any more. Not just gay men ... although there seems to be a PARTICULAR problem with that (seems like gay to some people equals irresponsible, self-centered, materialistic behavior, with no regard for your word to others or how what you do affects them). CELL PHONES! We used to manage just fine without them. Now, everyone thinks that you should answer no matter where you are or what you're doing. I don't do that. Sure, go ahead. Kill the most exciting and forward thinking brands you have, Saturn and Pontiac, and keep the old boring stuffy ones. No offense to my Chevy-driving friends, but... seriously, Pontiacs are way hot and Saturn's are progressive.
