EXACTLY, you nailed it. Sometimes things need to be packaged as a 'program' or else you'd never do them.
It's not totally brainless, since it starts you off in a certain tier and ramps you up at different rates depending on how many you can do initially, but still, it's pretty much just getting you to do pushups three or four times a week.
I think I'm going to try running through it with pull-ups next and see if I can keep that going for six weeks, too.
