I really don't like working out in the morning after an evening workout, but if I'm going to do it, the day after Max Recovery is the way to go. Since Max Recovery is a lot less intense, my body was able to sufficiently recover enough for today's workout.

What a difference a few days make. Despite a lingering cough and some sore legs, I felt pretty strong today and I was able to get through today's workout pretty well. Of course, today was a different type of workout than the earlier part of the week.

Another day in month 2 of Insanity, another moment where I can feel myself getting in better shape after my cold. At this point, I think working out may be the best remedy for getting better from this cold.

What a difference what some rest and recovery from a cold will do to you. I actually felt good in today's workout. My lungs still sucked, but I still have a bit of a cough, so I don't think my lungs have quite recovered from that bout yet. The rest of my body felt great, though, considering the crap I've put it through the last few days.

I think I made a good decision in taking yesterday off. I felt much better on today's workout. I was a little worried that my conditioning would be bad after working out only twice in the last five days coupled with these nagging cold symptoms, but I was able to push through today's workout. I think I did push myself to return from this cold a little early. I'm going to take another day off today. I hate doing it, but I think my body needs it. Plus, I don't think I could've survived 8 days of Insanity. Okay, so I'm being a little melodramatic, but I could be holding back my recovery. The good thing about getting sick and missing two workout days is that I quickly lost all of that bad weekend weight last weekend. The bad thing is that I felt weak and my cardio was severely lacking, which is bad considering this whole program is a souped up interval cardio body weight program.

I'm still a little sick, so I'm going to take another day off Insanity today. I don't want to fall too far behind on the program, so I'm going to make a slight adjustment to the schedule. I'm moving the Rest Day to today followed by 8 straight days of Insanity. I should be better and ready to go tomorrow.
