I will be voting for Barack Obama this evening. My reasoning is this: I believe that everyone should receive the same consideration and opportunity, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, or religious affiliation.

I pretty much owe my (full-time, salaried with benefits) job to the recovering economy and the boost in mortgage lending. I owe my BFA to the financial aid I received that got my THROUGH college. And as a woman, I kind of want to lay out ANY man who presumes to tell me what I can and can't do with MY body, especially if it's motivated by a religion I don't practice. I'm definitely a progressive-minded, bleeding-heart liberal, and Barack Obama is definitely my candidate of choice.

I am a registered Republican voter. I voted for Barack Obama and Joe Biden. This is my first time voting for a Democratic presidential candidate. I decided to vote this way for a few reasons.

1. My views on gay marriage have changed a lot in the past four years, and I've come to the firm belief that everyone has the right to be happy with the person they love, be they straight or gay. My ability to have a happy heterosexual marriage someday is not and will not affected by gay married couples having the same privileges I'll have access to.

2. Our economy is indeed in rough shape, and as much as I hate taxes, it's not gonna get better unless we tighten our belts and live within our means ALONG with upping taxes a bit. We will not get taxed to death.

3. Job recovery has been happening. Yes it might not be happening as fast as everyone would like, but it's a slow process to build anything back up. I'm willing to give the president a chance to continue pushing the recovery forward ( ... )

Green Party. Because everything else we do that seeks to make life better, or even livable, in the future will be undone if we fail to curb the growth of the global human population.

Caveat: I don't actually get to vote because I'm only a US resident, not a citizen.
