Lady... that's a nice choice for a name. Hello and welcome, Lady. My name is Simon.

As far as finding a job goes, you will have to wait until we're back up in the tree like normal, I am afraid; hopefully your Guide told you about the fire ants.

Thank you! It's nice to meet you too, Simon.

He mentioned the ants, yes! But I wasn't sure if people were still working, or just how many there are... Are they a common problem here?

You're very welcome.

As far as anyone can remember, the ants only arrive once a year, around this time. The medics- I am one of them- are still on duty, as are the Guides, Guards, and Watch, as far as I can recall; however, there is not much for anyone else to do. Mostly people are relaxing and having fun.

I see... Do they disappear on their own, then? The ants.

You must be a woman. Either that, or you're the biggest fucking pussy in this whole tree.

[The handwriting is slightly shaky, possibly panicked.] I'm sorry, I'm a woman!

Welcome to Edensphere, then-- I'm Dyad. As for employment, it may be difficult to really select anything until we return to the tree.

As for customs, do you have any specific questions? Right now we're in The Wilderness, so things are a bit different than usual. So long as you have a place to stay, though, you should settle in fine.

It's nice to meet you, Dyad! [A slight pause] Alright, thank you.

I'm not sure exactly. Maybe you could tell me about the different levels of this place? If it's not too much trouble...

It's no trouble at all. We're in The Wilderness right now, though it tends to shift every few weeks. I don't explore it very often, but from what I can tell, it's quite expansive-- to be honest, I'm not sure how a place can fit inside of the glass sphere. This is the third level.

The second is an array of floating islands about the trunk and generally serves as places of employment or meeting, and the second is up in the branches of the tree, holding the residential areas.

I'm.. not sure about the fourth floor, to be honest. That button doesn't work. But the fifth is the scavenger's yard, where many things can be found.

As soon as the giant ants go away we'll be able to return. I work in housekeeping myself, so I'm sure there will be plenty to be done.

Ah, thank you! Hopefully the ants will go away soon...

What kind of things are in the scavenger's yard?

You might have to prove your name to me, though.

I bid you welcome. I have chosen the name Sylvar.

The customs and traditions in this place are for the most part not inflexible and relatively easy to pick up on. However, you should be mindful that it is best to be cautious with information.

It's nice to meet you, Sylvar.

My guide told me that, yes! I'll be sure to remember it, though. Thank you!
