Got an email from my father, saying that my mom went through the surgery yesterday to remove the cancerous tumor from her tongue. They removed the 2cm tumor and about 1cm of surrounding tissue. Only about a half dollar sized piece. It was not neccesary for the plastic surgeon to take a part of her bicep to replace the missing piece of her tonge ( Read more... )

My unit had a meeting giving out information on the events that have occured recently. One of the items was a US civilian, who was taken hostage, escaped from his captors and made it back to US control. Man, starting to get just a little warm here. Today the tempature is supposed to be up around 102 degrees Fahrenheit (39 Degrees Celcius). Luckily that is after it cooled off from yesterdays 114 Degrees Fahrenheit (46 Degrees Celcius). And I was almost starting to sweat.
