Day 17 in Berlin
Last night Jeannie and I zoomed for over an hour and she was happy and seemed fine. I went to bed around 3am and slept for a little over 7 hours. I got up, had a light breakfast, read, and played wow for a few hours while I waited for Jeannie to wake up so we could chat again. I have a real date with Jeannie on Monday! We have been chatting a lot, and I'm excited to meet her. Her Bumble profile said she is only looking for friends, but told me this morning that she hopes we have chemistry when we meet, so apparently she is open to more. Yesterday was a crazy day. I slept in a little and then did some lessons on Duolingo. I bought lunch at Burger Bar and then rode my bicycle over to the Bookcase Store on Guadalupe at 42nd. I've been buying bookcases there from the same guy (John) for at least 20 years. He makes them from real wood and makes them to order ( Read more... ) -

One of the great things about ipods is they automatically create a playlist that includes everything you have listened to for the last two weeks. I've been listening to this playlist for years, and it constantly changes as I listen to new albums/songs. It's a really conservative list in that songs only drop off if you don't listen to a song for two ( Read more... ) -

Pole class was good tonight, but we had six people and only one pole, so there was a little too much standing around. Caroline had us do some other exercises while we waited for our turn on the pole, so that helped some. Counting the bike ride there and back, I had a pretty solid 2.5 hour workout, and I've been swimming in endorphins ever since I ( Read more... ) -

Things are still going well. I've settled into the work again. It took a couple of weeks to get back into the swing of things, but I finally feel like I know what I am doing and am able to knock out files right and left. At a certain point I stopped stressing about the work related writing I'm doing, and am on automatic ( Read more... ) -

Jenny asked her boss about giving me another contract, and was told that that was possible if I am available. We are going to talk about it tomorrow morning. The thing is, it is likely to only be a month or two, and I have a four month project lined up already. If it were a semi-permanent contract, I'd jump at it, but I can't cancel the Sabine job ( Read more... ) -

First day of work is tomorrow, and it is going to be 26 degrees when I leave. I turned down an offer for a ride to work, I need my bicycle to get to Sky Candy right after work. I'm going to wear a lot of layers, it won't be too bad of a ride ( Read more... )
