maybe you should talk to girl number one and make sure that she knows your stance on long distance relationships. make sure she knows that you guys also arent exclusive. she could have assumed that you were, and she also could have assumed that a relationship would eventually happen, so you should just make sure she knows the deal. as for the second girl...a lot of people seem cool, but then you realize that you don't want to date most of them. feel it out more before you jump to conclusions

well i'm assuming nothing about the second girl. to be honest, she's not that important part of the equation. and while there's been no reason for her to suspect that we are exclusive already since we've only gone on a few dates, you are right that we're going to have to talk about it.
