TA'ing May term is a whirlwind, though it does give me the opportunity to use the word "hatchetry" in email to the course instructor.

you repeatedly do double-takes after reading sentences about Georgia...and mistakenly thinking of the South Caucasus, rather than the Southeast US.

(Hey, it's marginally less embarrassing than the reverse.)

I'm done. I'm not sure just how I ended up finishing my last papers a week and a half after classes ended, but I'm done. The quality probably isn't the best, but after a certain point sleep doesn't seem to help, all food becomes tasteless, and I don't really care any longer. Done ( Read more... )

I realize that you're one of the most bicycle-friendly places in North America. Seriously, that's awesome. Every other street has a bike lane, there are bike paths along the creeks and major streets, and campus is one giant bike zone. I've now been in Boulder for a week, and am beginning to feel like I'm settling in. Unfortunately, moving in had a few complications---the fellow moving out of my apartment was sick last week, which delayed his packing, and my current flatmate had previously booked travel home to New York for this week.
