So I finally got some of the test footage of the Casio EX-F1 up, of course, I used the dogs for my test subjects. I am very happy with the footage and the dogs are cute too:
The camera actually records in slow motion (300, 600, and 1200 frames per second). When you see it at normal speed (30fps), we have actually accelerated the footage 1000% to look normal. It is possible to slow down regular footage and make it look like it's in slow motion, but the results aren't as good as recording at the correct speed in the first place. Because when you slow it down while editing, the computer interpolates the footage and guesses as to how it would look at different speeds, and frequently it doesn't do it correctly. On top of that the slower you want it to go, the more processing the computer has to do, and the more chance there is for it to do it incorrectly. Therefore, it's much easier to get it right the first time.
