I’ve just got the results back from an essay that I was worrying about, as for the first time ever I was running very close to the deadline and did a bit of a rushed job. I’m feeling very torn at uni between doing modules that I know I can get really good grades in if I put in enough effort, but won’t teach or inspire me much, or modules that will really challenge me and teach me new skills, but I’m only likely to get an average grade in ( Read more... )

I’m starting to wonder whether going back to university was the right thing for me to do. My grades are ok (recently got back a few essays and received 66%, 68%, 72% and 73%, high 2;1s and 1sts so not bad), but I am bored of essay writing for the sake of it and don’t feel as though I am learning much from the experience. Generally things are going a lot better for me at the moment. I've got my first lot of university coursework and exam results back now and was lucky enough to get all A's, A-'s and A +'s, so all firsts. Shame we only have to pass this year! Amazing how so little has changed since this time last year. At home, all is the same; I'm the house gooseberry. Good job I'm meant to be going away soon, though to be honest, I'm not convinced that will be much better.

I'm so incredibly bored of my life. It just seems so predictable and the only surprises are shocks of a negative nature. I'm almost constantly petrified and can't see myself as having a bright future in any respect.
